PROVIDENCE, RI — Members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Jose Contreras, 36, of Providence, on April 6, 2026, on an affidavit and arrest warrant from the Providence Police Department.
Contreras was charged with domestic violence – felony assault, disorderly violence – disorderly conduct, and domestic violence – violation of no contact order.
He was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Providence Police Department on scene.

LINCOLN, RI — Members of the HIDTA Task Force arrested Andre Bland, 32, of Providence, on April 6, 2026.
Bland was charged with possession with the intent to deliver 1 oz – 1 kilo of a Schedule II controlled substance – fentanyl, possession with the intent to deliver a Schedule II controlled substance – fentanyl, possession with the intent to deliver 1 oz – 1 kilo of a Schedule II controlled substance – cocaine, and possession with the intent to deliver a Schedule II controlled substance – cocaine.
He was transported to the Lincoln Barracks, where he was processed and arraigned.
He was later transported to the ACI pending his arraignment in Sixth District Court in the morning.

PAWTUCKET, RI — Members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Willy Medina, 20, of Pawtucket, on April 7, 2026, on an affidavit and arrest warrant from the Pawtucket Police Department.
Medina was charged with license required to carry pistol, firing in compact area, vandalism, and disorderly conduct.
He was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Pawtucket Police Department on scene.

LINCOLN, RI — Members of the HIDTA Task Force and the Massachusetts State Police CINRET Task Force arrested William Hancock, 38, of Johnston, on April 8, 2026.
Hancock was charged with possession with intent to deliver a Schedule II controlled substance – fentanyl, possession with intent to deliver a Schedule II controlled substance – methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule I-V (trenbolone), and possession of a Schedule I-V (testosterone).
He was transported to the Lincoln Barracks, where he was processed.
He was later transported to Third District Court for arraignment.

Camilo was charged with felony assault – stabbing.

Man arrested on child pornography charges in Cranston

CRANSTON, RI — Members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Marco Cameron, 19, of Cranston, on April 8, 2026.
Cameron was charged with possession of child pornography and transfer of child pornography.
He was transported to the Lincoln Barracks and processed.
He was later transported to Third Division District Court.
Cameron was arraigned before the Honorable Magistrate Joseph P. Ippolito, where bail was set at $5,000 personal recognizance with special conditions of no unsupervised contact with minors, as well as limited internet access.
