STERLING, NY — A 40-year-old man was arrested on domestic violence charges following an incident at a residence on Center Road.
Brandon P. Adam, of Sterling, was taken into custody at 6:51 p.m. on March 31 and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing, third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child, according to Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck.
Deputies responded to a report of a domestic incident with injuries at approximately 5:45 p.m. on March 31.
Upon arrival, deputies observed a female victim with a large hematoma on her head.

Adam also struck the victim’s head against a wall multiple times during the altercation.
The incident occurred in front of a young child.
Adam was transported to the Public Safety Building for processing and then brought to the jail pending arraignment.
