BUFFALO, NY — A Buffalo man faces multiple weapons charges following the execution of a search warrant on April 7, 2026.
Dovontay Fields, 28, of Buffalo, was arrested by the Troop A Community Stabilization Unit and charged with criminal possession of a weapon 2nd degree, a C felony; criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree for a large capacity ammunition feeding device, a D felony; criminal possession of a weapon 4th degree, an E felony; and criminal possession of a weapon 4th degree, a misdemeanor.
The Troop A Community Stabilization Unit executed the search warrant on Harvey Place in Buffalo in conjunction with the Buffalo Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as part of an ongoing investigation.
The search revealed a Shadow Systems XR920 9mm loaded handgun and an additional loaded magazine.
Fields was transported to State Police Buffalo for processing, then taken to Buffalo Police Department Lockup for centralized arraignment.
