PORTVILLE, NY — A man was arrested early Friday morning following an attempted burglary in progress.
Sean Tucker, 39, of Allegany, was taken into custody at 4:30 a.m. April 4, according to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a report of a possible burglary in progress.
Upon arrival, Tucker attempted to flee on foot from the front of the residence, authorities said.
After a brief foot pursuit through back yards, Tucker was apprehended by deputies and K9 Lex without physical force.
Tucker is charged with attempted burglary in the second degree and obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree.
He was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail.
