VERONA, PA — A Pittsburgh man was arrested early April 7, 2026, after police found him passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle that was still in drive.
A Verona police officer conducting a routine patrol along Allegheny River Boulevard observed a suspicious vehicle stopped in the roadway at approximately 3:46 a.m.
Upon investigation, the officer discovered a male driver unconscious behind the wheel while the vehicle remained engaged in drive.
The driver, a 38-year-old man from Pittsburgh, was determined to be under the influence of controlled substances.
During the subsequent arrest and vehicle search, officers located and seized an illegal firearm and narcotics.
The suspect was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Allegheny County Jail to await formal arraignment on charges including firearms and drug offenses.
In a separate investigation, the Verona Police Department has issued an arrest warrant for Brandi Morrow, 42, of Pittsburgh.
Morrow is wanted in connection with the theft of a motor vehicle.
Police believe Morrow is currently in possession of a black 2024 GMC Terrain bearing Pennsylvania registration NDP9888.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Morrow or the location of the stolen vehicle is asked to contact the Verona Police Department by dialing 911.
