Vehicles vandalized in Linden

LINDEN, NJ — Detectives are investigating after more than two dozen vehicles were vandalized in the early morning hours on Monday.

Damage was first reported at approximately 4 a.m. on April 7, 2026.

Responding officers learned that 19 vehicles were vandalized in an apartment complex on the 1300 block of S. Wood Ave.

Officers later learned that similar incidents were reported in other areas of the city and in surrounding towns.

Detectives believe that a single suspect committed these crimes, largely between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. on Monday.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned or white man operating a dark grey Nissan Rogue with no visible license plate, tinted rear windows, chrome trim and roof racks.

These incidents are being investigated by the Linden Police Detective Bureau in cooperation with detectives from other agencies in Union and Middlesex counties.
