WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP, PA — Police arrested a man Wednesday after loss prevention reported he stole cologne from JCPenney at the Wyoming Valley Mall.
Daniel Gonzalez, 33, of Wilkes-Barre, was taken into custody at 3:53 p.m. April 2, 2026.
Loss prevention reported Gonzalez stole seven bottles of cologne valued at $540 with a juvenile.
Gonzalez placed the merchandise he selected in the juvenile’s backpack.
Police apprehended Gonzalez after he returned to the store a second time.
Charges for retail theft and corruption of minors are pending.
