CORTLANDVILLE, NY — The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a theft at Walmart.
Deputies were dispatched to the store at 819 Bennie Road at approximately 11:30 a.m. April 1 for a larceny complaint.
The suspect is described as a white male with a beard who was wearing a black hat, gray sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and light-colored sneakers at the time of the theft.
The man fled the store as a passenger in a white sedan before officers arrived on scene.
County Police Officer Neena Testa is investigating the case.
