LOGAN TOWNSHIP, PA — A 29-year-old man was arrested Friday following an investigation into child sexual abuse material.
Ricardo Cruz Jr., of Logan Township, was taken into custody without incident after police executed multiple search warrants and conducted interviews.
Police said Cruz admitted to searching for and possessing child pornography during the investigation.
Investigators said they located several images, videos and internet searches for child pornography.
Cruz was charged with sexual abuse of children: possession of child pornography, sexual abuse of children: criminal attempt-viewing of child pornography, criminal use of a communication facility and obscene and other sexual materials and performances.
He is being held without bail at the Somerset County Jail.
Logan Township Police were assisted by Homeland Security Investigations-Johnstown Division, Pennsylvania State Police, Blair County District Attorney’s Office, Blair County Children and Youth Families and the Blair County Children Advocacy Center.
