Man arrested on assault charge in Lisle

LISLE, NY — New York State Police arrested a man following an investigation into a domestic incident.

Markus R. Goodrich, 22, of Lisle, was arrested March 31, 2026, and charged with assault in the 2nd degree, a class D felony, and criminal contempt in the 1st degree, a class E felony.

Troopers were dispatched March 30 by the Broome County 911 Center to a residence on Owen Hill Road in the town of Lisle.

An investigation determined that a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation when Goodrich intentionally struck a person with a broom stick and a frying pan, causing injuries.

The investigation further revealed that Goodrich violated an order of protection.

Goodrich fled the scene on foot and was later located March 31 at a residence on Prospect Street in the town of Triangle.

Goodrich was processed at State Police Binghamton and turned over to the Broome County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.
