BOSTON, MA — A Weymouth man was arrested after allegedly following a delivery truck and stealing packages in the Back Bay neighborhood.
Officers assigned to District D-4 responded to the area of 369 Beacon Street at about 5:25 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a larceny in progress.
Police were advised that a suspect was seen following a UPS truck and stealing packages after delivery.
A description of the suspect was broadcast to all responding officers.
After canvassing the area, the suspect was located in the rear of Beacon Street at 412 Back Street.
Multiple open packages and bags were scattered around the area.
One of the packages was promptly returned to the rightful owner.
Jose Denier, 33, of Weymouth, was placed under arrest and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on a charge of larceny from a building.
