Man arrested in stabbing on Huntington Avenue in Boston

BOSTON, MA — A Boston man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred Wednesday morning on Huntington Avenue.

Stephen Dantzler, 58, of Boston, was taken into custody and is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to the area of 291 Saint Botolph Street at about 8:19 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a person stabbed.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

After further investigation, it was determined that the incident occurred outside of 291 Huntington Avenue, and the victim was located on Saint Botolph Street.

Detectives assigned to District D-4 (South End) with the assistance from the Northeastern University Police Department conducted an investigation into the stabbing incident.

Through video footage, detectives were able to locate the suspect in the area of 316 Huntington Avenue, where Dantzler was placed under arrest.
