ROME, NY — Police are investigating after a man was found injured inside a residence early Tuesday.
The Rome Police Department responded to the 400 block of West Court Street at approximately 12:07 a.m. March 31, 2026, for a report of a male in distress.
Officers located a 34-year-old man inside the residence who had sustained injuries to his head and torso.
The injuries appeared to be caused by a sharp-edged object, police said.
The man was transported to an area hospital by AmCare Ambulance for evaluation and treatment.
The incident is being investigated by the Rome Police Detective Division.
