HARTFORD, CT — A convicted felon was arrested on firearm and narcotics charges following the execution of a search warrant on East Morningside Street on March 27, 2026.
Members of the Hartford Police Narcotics Unit, with assistance from the Emergency Response Team, executed the search and seizure warrant at a residence.
Police said the investigation determined the suspect was selling narcotics and was a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Officers safely executed the warrant and took one individual into custody without incident.
Shameek Allen, 28, of Hartford, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a firearm and possession of narcotics.
Police seized a Kel-Tec handgun loaded with nine live rounds, multiple boxes of ammunition, $5,051 in U.S. currency and drug packaging and distribution materials.
