NAHANT, MA — A driver was arrested early Saturday morning after police discovered a loaded firearm during a traffic stop.
Sgt. Leary and Ofc. Baez stopped a vehicle for speeding and an apparent lights violation at approximately 1:30 a.m. on March 28.
The operator of the vehicle did not have a valid driver’s license, according to the Nahant Police Department.
Officers found a fully loaded 9 mm firearm under the driver’s seat.
The driver did not have a license to carry the weapon, police said.
The operator was arrested on several weapons and motor vehicle charges.
