WILKES-BARRE, PA — A 28-year-old man wanted in connection with a February assault was taken into custody by Wilkes-Barre City Police.
Joshua Javier Mitchell, of Drums, was apprehended in Wilkes-Barre City on March 29, 2026.
Mitchell faces charges including terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment stemming from an incident that occurred Feb. 8 on East Main Street in Hanover Township.
Following his arrest, Mitchell was transported to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for overnight arraignment.
An arrest warrant had been issued for Mitchell prior to his apprehension.
The Hanover Township Police Department had requested public assistance in locating Mitchell before his arrest.
