CLINTON, ME — Police have arrested a man accused of stealing a Make-A-Wish Foundation donation container from a local variety store.
The Clinton Police Department reported the theft occurred at Clinton Variety.
Security footage captured the suspect taking the donation container from the business.
Officer Chouinard identified and located the man approximately 25 minutes after police posted information about the incident.
The man was charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.
Police said the man was on current conditions of release at the time of his arrest and was charged with violating those conditions.
He also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
The man is now in custody.
