MALTA, NY — A Schenectady man was arrested on a felony drug charge following a traffic stop Thursday night.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office conducted a vehicle stop at 8:13 p.m. on U.S. Route 9 for failing to use a designated lane.
Devine I.C. Jones, 20, of Schenectady, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a class D felony.
Jones is accused of knowingly and unlawfully possessing 500 milligrams or more of cocaine.
He was also cited for operating a motor vehicle while his license was suspended, an unclassified misdemeanor, and failing to use a designated lane, an infraction.
Jones was arraigned before the Honorable Ellwood A. Sloat Jr. and released on his own recognizance pending further court proceedings.
