MIDDLEFIELD, NY — A 64-year-old man was arrested after allegedly screaming and assaulting deputies at a location in the Town of Middlefield.
Douglas B. Stansbury, of Oneonta, was charged with disorderly conduct on March 24, 2026, according to the Otsego County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a complaint in the town where Stansbury allegedly created loud and unreasonable noise by screaming loudly enough to disturb other patients.
Stansbury then began to kick, elbow and spit at uniformed sheriff’s deputies, according to the press release.
The conduct continued after deputies warned Stansbury to stop, authorities said.
Stansbury was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Otsego Town Court at a later date.
