Shots fired after collisions in Manlius

MANLIUS, NY — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred following two vehicle collisions on March 29.

Members of the Town of Manlius Police Department responded to a call for service regarding a shots fired incident on the 100 block of Richmond Road West at approximately 2:21 p.m.

Investigation revealed that a two-vehicle collision had occurred just before the incident on Manlius Center Road at Clemons Road between the parties involved.

The parties then drove to the Richmond Road West location where another motor vehicle collision occurred involving a pedestrian.

A dispute occurred at that scene and an involved party produced a handgun and fired one gunshot which was believed to have struck the vehicle.

No one was injured by the gunshot.

The handgun was recovered on scene, and all parties involved have been identified.

The investigation is ongoing and the Town of Manlius Police Department is working in conjunction with the Onondaga County District Attorney’s Office.
