EXETER, RI — A Providence man was arrested early Sunday morning during a fatal motor vehicle crash investigation on South County Trail.
Tariq Famogun, 26, of Providence, was taken into custody at 4 a.m. March 29, 2026, according to Rhode Island State Police.
Famogun faces charges of domestic violence – violation of a no contact order, first offense, and obstruction of an officer in execution of duty.
Troopers were investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash when the arrest occurred.
Famogun was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and held overnight as a probation violator.
