STAMFORD, CT — A bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday night.
The collision occurred in the area of 900 Washington Blvd. at approximately 9:40 p.m.
A 2010 Toyota Rav4 was traveling northbound on Washington Blvd. when it struck the operator of an electric bicycle that was crossing eastbound across Washington Blvd.
The operator of the Toyota, a 46-year-old Stamford resident, was not injured and remained at the scene.
The operator is cooperating with the investigation.
The bicycle operator, a 49-year-old Stamford resident, is currently listed in critical condition at Stamford Hospital.
No charges have been filed.
The Stamford Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad is investigating the crash.
