HINESBURG, VT — Vermont State Police responded to the area of Huntington Road at the intersection of Hillview Road for a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries on March 25, 2026.
Troopers arrived on scene at approximately 6:16 p.m. and located a single vehicle that had left the roadway and crashed into the side of a hill.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as Makayla Vezina, 22, of Colchester.
While speaking with Vezina, troopers detected indicators of impairment.
After being medically cleared, Vezina was arrested for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Williston Barracks for processing.
At the conclusion of processing, Vezina was issued a citation to appear at the Chittenden County Superior Court on April 14, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge of DUI.
The 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser sustained heavy front-end damage.
Weather conditions were clear and road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
