COOPERSTOWN, NY — A man turned himself in to authorities after an investigation revealed he brought cocaine into a county jail.
Anthony J. Lynn, 26, of Unadilla, was arrested March 23, 2026, and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree and introduce dangerous contraband in the first degree.
The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation began after an inmate was found in possession of a controlled substance at the Otsego County Correctional Facility.
Investigators determined that Lynn had the substance on him when he was admitted to the facility on unrelated charges.
Laboratory analysis confirmed the substance was cocaine.
Lynn turned himself in to the Sheriff’s Office where he was processed on the charges.
He was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment and released on his own recognizance.
The case will be heard in Town of Middlefield Court.
