SPRINGWATER, NY — A man was arrested on felony charges after allegedly threatening a woman protected by an order of protection.
Kyle Rodriguez, 35, of Springwater, was arrested March 22 and charged with felony criminal contempt in the first degree and harassment in the second degree.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence in Springwater at approximately 7:01 p.m. March 11 for a reported domestic incident.
Rodriguez allegedly got into a verbal argument with a female inside the residence and threatened her with physical harm, according to Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty.
The alleged acts occurred while an active order of protection was in place protecting the woman from Rodriguez, making the arrest a felony.
Deputies Walker Major and Vincent Molisani arrested Rodriguez on March 22.
Rodriguez was transported to the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.
He was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Leicester Justice Scofield.
The District Attorney’s Office recommended bail be set at $5,000 cash or $25,000 bond.
The judge released Rodriguez under pre-trial supervision services.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office represented Rodriguez at the arraignment.
