JAMESTOWN, NY — A man was arrested early Tuesday morning after police say he violated an order of protection.
Officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Third Platoon responded to a report of an unwanted person on the west side of town at approximately 5 a.m. March 24, 2026.
An investigation revealed that Ralph R. Patterson III, 46, of Jamestown, had violated a full stay-away order of protection before fleeing the scene.
Officers located Patterson a short distance away and took him into custody without incident.
He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
Patterson is being charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree due to a prior conviction for Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree within the last five years.
He is being held at the Jamestown City Jail pending his arraignment.
