MENTZ, NY — A 60-year-old woman was arrested following a domestic violence incident at a residence in the town.
Lisa E. Lucio, of Mentz, was arrested at 5:08 p.m. March 21, 2026, and charged with menacing in the 2nd degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree, attempted criminal mischief in the 4th degree and assault in the 3rd degree, according to Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck.
Deputies responded to a residence in the town at approximately 4:13 p.m. for a reported domestic violence incident.
Upon arrival, deputies met with a male victim who alleged that Lucio threatened him with a kitchen knife.
During the altercation, the male victim was able to get the knife away from Lucio, according to the sheriff’s office.
Lucio then bit the victim on the arm, causing minor injury, and caused property damage inside the home when she threw a cell phone, causing a picture to fall off the wall and break, according to the report.
Lucio was taken into custody and transported to the Public Safety Building.
Upon processing, she was taken to the Cayuga County Jail, where she was arraigned in CAP Court.
Lucio was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Mentz Court on a future date.
