BOSTON, MA — Police are searching for a person of interest in connection with a shooting that left one person seriously injured Sunday evening.
Officers responded to a report of a person shot near Washington Street and East Berkeley Street at approximately 7:45 p.m. March 15.
Upon arrival, officers found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Boston EMS transported the victim to a local hospital, where the person was reported to be in serious but stable condition.
Officers established a crime scene along Washington Street between Traveler Street and East Berkeley Street.
Surveillance footage from the area captured a person of interest fleeing the scene.
The individual was observed discarding a jacket and hat on the street before entering a nearby construction site, where the person put on a construction vest and walked away.
Detectives assigned to District D-4 are actively investigating the incident.
