CUTTINGSVILLE, VT — A man stole a gallon of maple syrup from Vermont Stewart Maple on Monday morning after paying for other items, according to the business owners.
The theft occurred at 9:39 a.m. when the man purchased two quarts of syrup before taking a gallon container that belonged to a customer.
The stolen gallon had the customer’s name written on the bottle and was being used as a bring-your-own container for refills.
The suspect left the store and returned to his truck after taking the syrup.
The business owners posted about the incident on social media, asking the public for help identifying the man.
No arrests have been reported.
