ARLINGTON, VT — A single-vehicle crash left a driver with minor injuries on Route 7A near Dunham Road on March 23, 2026.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury Barracks were dispatched to the scene at approximately 9:19 p.m.
The investigation determined that a 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan operated by Alberto L. Leonguiracocha, 28, of Sunderland, left the roadway and overturned.
The vehicle sustained significant damage.
Leonguiracocha was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and the airbags were deployed.
He sustained minor injuries and was transported to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.
Leonguiracocha was processed for DUI and an evidentiary blood draw was conducted.
The results of that test are pending, as are DUI charges.
Road conditions were wet and weather was cold and snowy at the time of the crash.
Troopers were assisted on scene by Monarchs Towing and Arlington Fire and Rescue.
