NICHOLVILLE, NY — New York State Police have charged a 46-year-old man with rape and other offenses following an investigation into a reported sexual assault.
Kenneth J. Snyder, of Nicholville, was indicted on March 21, 2026, on charges of first-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse, forcible touching, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and second-degree reckless endangerment.
State police were notified of a reported sexual assault on July 23, 2025, at approximately 6:08 p.m.
An investigation determined that Snyder subjected a female victim to forced sexual contact at his residence.
The investigation was coordinated with the St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office and presented to a grand jury.
An arrest warrant was issued following the indictment.
Snyder was taken into custody, processed and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment.
