Man arrested on contempt charge in Malone

MALONE, NY — New York State Police arrested a man on multiple charges March 23, 2026, following a reported order of protection violation.

Dominick Jerin, 29, of Malone, was charged with Criminal Contempt in the 1st degree (prior conviction), Aggravated Family Offense, and Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the 2nd degree.

State Police responded to State Route 11 in the town of Malone at approximately 12:58 p.m. for a report of an order of protection violation.

An investigation determined Jerin violated a stay-away order of protection by contacting the protected party.

Further investigation revealed Jerin created new accounts in an attempt to continue communication with the protected party.

Jerin was transported to State Police Malone for processing.

He was arraigned in the Town of Malone Court and remanded to the Franklin County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail, $50,000 bond, or a $100,000 partially secured bond.
