Man arrested on theft charges in Upper Allen Township

UPPER ALLEN TOWNSHIP, PA — Upper Allen Police arrested a man on multiple charges following a disturbance Friday morning.

Ryan Callery, 39, of Mechanicsburg, was taken into custody at 9:15 a.m. in the 1000 block of Allendale Road.

Police responded to a disturbance call at that location.

During the investigation, police determined Callery was intoxicated and had harassed a local resident.

Police say Callery stole mail and two license plates.

Callery also attempted to gain access to and vandalized an Upper Allen Township Police patrol vehicle, according to police.

Callery faces charges of theft by unlawful taking, institutional vandalism, theft from a motor vehicle, criminal mischief, theft of mail, harassment and public drunkenness.

He was transported to Cumberland County Central Booking for processing.
