Man arrested on contempt charge in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — Police arrested a man March 21, 2026, after he allegedly violated an order of protection.

Officers responded to a north side address for a domestic dispute at about 3:50 p.m.

Officers observed William C. Leamer exit the residence of the victim.

Police knew there was a stay away order of protection against Leamer requiring him to stay away from the home of the victim.

Leamer was placed into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident.

Leamer is charged with criminal contempt in the first degree, a felony.

Leamer is held pending his arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
