Pedestrian killed in Ewing crash

EWING, NJ — A Trenton woman was struck and killed by two vehicles on Olden Avenue on March 22, 2026.

Ewing police officers responded to the area of Olden Avenue and Sixth Street at 10:09 p.m. on report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.

Olden Avenue was closed in both directions between Fifth Street and Prospect Street with the assistance of Mercer County DOT to conduct the investigation.

Ewing Police Department Traffic Safety Officer Jon Bag along with Ewing Police Department Criminal Investigations Bureau and the Mercer County Prosecutors Office Serious Collision Response Team responded to assist with the investigation.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a Toyota Tacoma being operated by a 21-year-old Egg Harbor Township resident was traveling northbound on Olden Avenue in the curb lane when his vehicle struck a pedestrian who was in the northbound curb lane.

The pedestrian was then struck by another vehicle, an Acura TSX, operated by a 39-year-old Trenton resident who was traveling in the northbound passing lane.

Both drivers remained on scene and are cooperating with the investigation.

The pedestrian was identified as Krystle Tomlin, 41, of Trenton.

She was pronounced deceased on scene by responding emergency medical technicians and paramedics.
