Man arrested on warrant in East Hampton

EAST HAMPTON, CT — A local man was arrested on weapons charges after being taken into custody on an active warrant March 17.

Nicholas Kensey, 41, of East Hampton, was charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm and possession of a sawed-off shotgun or silencer.

Kensey was unable to post a $25,000 cash or surety bond and was held in custody until his arraignment at Middletown Superior Court later that morning.

In a separate incident March 21, Trevor Depino, 54, of Southington, was arrested for driving under the influence.

Depino was released upon signing a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear at Middletown Superior Court on Wednesday, April 1, at 9 a.m.

Also on March 21, Antonio Amato, 29, of New Britain, was issued a ticket for failure to obey a red light.
