Driver arrested on DUI charge in Killington

KILLINGTON, VT — Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Killington Road at 12:25 a.m. March 21.

Police say Ciaran Keenan, 22, of Sayville, New York, was operating a 2016 Honda Accord when it left the roadway and struck a tree at 505 Killington Road.

While speaking with Keenan, he displayed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence, according to police.

Keenan and his passengers sustained injuries in the crash and were transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center.

The roadway was wet and foggy at the time of the crash.

Keenan was later released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Rutland Criminal Division on May 18 at 10 a.m.
