HOOKSETT, NH — A motor vehicle stop on West River Road led to the seizure of drugs and cash.
The Hooksett Police Department conducted the stop on a 2010 Mitsubishi Lancer at approximately 3:25 a.m. on May 11.
The officer determined the vehicle’s registrations were suspended and observed drug paraphernalia inside.
The officer seized the vehicle to apply for a search warrant.
Passenger Matthew Stark, 38, of Gilmanton, requested to remove his backpack from the trunk but was denied due to the pending warrant.
On May 13, a search warrant was granted and the vehicle was searched.
Stark’s backpack contained approximately 720 grams of suspected fentanyl in pressed sticks, approximately 70 grams of crack cocaine, a scale and rolled and banded cash in excess of $7,000.
An arrest warrant was completed for two counts of controlled drug possession subsequent, a Class A felony, and two counts of controlled drug sale, a special felony.
On July 8, Stark was arrested by Manchester police on the Hooksett warrant.
He faced additional charges out of Manchester for again being in possession of drugs.
Stark was turned over to Hooksett police, where he was booked, declined bail and transported to the Merrimack County House of Corrections to await arraignment.”,New Hampshire
