Sex offender arrested in Kingston

KINGSTON, NY — A Kingston man was arrested July 8 on charges of violating the state’s sex offender registry.

Eric Decker, 49, of Kingston, was charged with five counts of violating Section 168-F of the New York State Correction Law, a class E felony.

Decker was found not to be in compliance with the terms of his sex offender registration and his New York State parole.

He failed to disclose two social media accounts, two email addresses and a cellphone, all of which he regularly used.

Decker was processed on the charges and issued an appearance ticket returnable to Kingston City Court on July 22.
