Retail theft reported in Warrington

WARRINGTON, PA — Police responded to a report of a retail theft in progress July 6 at Wegmans.

Loss prevention staff had detained 28-year-old Brianna Louise Smith, of Philadelphia, after she allegedly filled a shopping cart with merchandise and left the store without paying.

The stolen merchandise was valued at $741.32.

Smith was arrested and transported to the station for processing.

She was arraigned July 7 by Judge Wertman, who set bail at $70,000 unsecured.

Smith is charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property.

She is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
