Bicyclist arrested on larceny, drug charges in Oriskany Falls

ORISKANY FALLS, NY — A bicyclist was arrested July 8 on charges including petit larceny and drug possession after a traffic stop in the village.

Deputies stopped the bicyclist at about 12:18 p.m. for violations of state vehicle and traffic law pertaining to bicycles, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.

The operator, Milano L. Grico, of Madison, was interviewed and determined to have participated in a larceny that occurred July 7 at Douglas Park in Oriskany Falls, deputies said.

Deputies located and recovered the stolen property.

During the arrest, deputies found a large quantity of suspected cannabis and a quantity of suspected methamphetamine on Grico, according to the sheriff’s office.

Grico was charged with petit larceny, fourth-degree criminal mischief, unlawful possession of cannabis and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Grico was processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Augusta Court at a later date.
