GREENBURGH, NY — A 30-year-old Bronx man was arrested July 8 after police recovered a stolen bicycle from his vehicle.
The Greenburgh Police Department received a report of a stolen bicycle from the Tarryhill Way area at approximately 9 a.m.
Officers obtained surveillance footage and a partial license plate number, which was broadcast to surrounding law enforcement agencies.
Members of the Greenburgh Police Department Drug and Alcohol Task Force located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop later that morning.
Police recovered the stolen bicycle from the vehicle’s back seat.
Randolf Kranwinkel, 30, of Bronx, was charged with petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree and resisting arrest, all misdemeanors.
Kranwinkel was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.
The bicycle was returned to its owner.
