ALBANY, NY — Two Albany residents were arrested Wednesday morning in connection with an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Members of the Albany Police Department’s Community Response Unit, with assistance from the DEA of Albany, executed a search warrant at a residence on the 600 block of Clinton Avenue near Ontario Street around 10:35 a.m.
Recovered from inside the residence were a loaded AR .22 rifle, a loaded 9mm handgun, a quantity of cocaine, a quantity of methamphetamine and a quantity of fentanyl.
Lamont Bryant, 53, of Albany, and Equavieair Cooper, 18, of Albany, were taken into custody.
Both have been charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon 2nd, three counts of criminal possession of a weapon 3rd, one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance 1st, one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance 2nd, three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd, one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th and two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia 2nd.
Bryant and Cooper were arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
