Two arrested on drug charges in Lloyd

LLOYD, NY — Two people were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on State Route 9W on July 1, 2026.

Members of the Troop F Community Stabilization Unit observed a 2014 Ram 1500 traveling northbound on State Route 9W near the northbound on-ramp from the Mid-Hudson Bridge at approximately 4:15 p.m. committing multiple violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Troopers initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Wiley W. Faison, 57, of Catskill, and the passenger as Siarra R. Bergami, 32, of Athens.

K9 Kell conducted an exterior sniff of the vehicle and positively alerted to the presence of narcotics.

A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of approximately 103 grams of cocaine.

Faison and Bergami were arrested without incident and transported to State Police Highland for processing.

Faison was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree, intent to sell, a class B felony; criminal possession of a controlled substance narcotic, a class B felony; and multiple violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

Faison was arraigned in the Town of Lloyd Centralized Arraignment Part and remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail.

Bergami was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree, intent to sell, a class B felony; and criminal possession of a controlled substance narcotic, a class B felony.

Bergami was arraigned in the Town of Lloyd Centralized Arraignment Part and released on her own recognizance.

Both defendants are scheduled to appear in the Town of Lloyd Court at a later date.
