ENFIELD, CT — A Massachusetts man was arrested July 1, 2026, after fleeing from police in two states and leading officers on a foot chase through thick vegetation.
The Enfield Police Department received a Be On the Lookout alert from the Massachusetts State Police for a gray Honda Civic that had fled from troopers and was last seen crossing into Connecticut on Interstate 91.
Enfield officers located the vehicle, which again attempted to flee.
Officers deployed spike strips, disabling the vehicle.
The car came to a stop on a dead-end road.
The driver, identified as Nicholas Verity of Massachusetts, fled on foot through thick vegetation and a creek.
Officers apprehended Verity after a brief foot pursuit.
