MEDFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ — A lightning strike caused a roof fire at Fellowship Alliance Church on July 3, 2026.
Medford Township Police, Fire, and EMS responded to the structure fire at 199 Church Road.
The Medford Township Fire Department, along with numerous other fire departments from surrounding jurisdictions, combated the roof fire.
Firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to the interior of the church.
Fire marshals conducted a preliminary investigation into the cause of the fire.
The investigation determined the fire was caused by a lightning strike to the northern entrance roof.
