SIDNEY, NY — A Franklin woman has been arrested following a domestic incident investigation.
Sandra Schaffer, 46, of Franklin, was arrested June 17 and charged with one count of harassment in the second degree, a violation of the New York State Penal Law.
Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched May 20 to a domestic incident that was reported as no longer in progress in the Town of Sidney.
An investigation revealed that during a verbal argument, Schaffer kicked another person in the chest, subjecting that person to unwanted physical contact.
Sheriff’s deputies submitted requests for a criminal summons and an order of protection to Sidney Town Court.
The court granted both requests, and deputies received the documents for service June 9.
At the time of her arrest, Schaffer was also issued the order of protection.
Schaffer was released on the criminal summons to appear in Sidney Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
