OLEAN, NY — Police arrested an 18-year-old man after a stabbing early Sunday morning that left a 16-year-old boy injured.
Officers responded to a disturbance call on the 100 block of South 7th Street at approximately 2 a.m.
Police found a 16-year-old male with stab wounds to his upper body.
The victim was transported by ambulance to Olean General Hospital.
Devan Smith Bell, 18, of Olean, was arrested by the criminal investigation unit and charged with first-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.
The victim was later transported to Erie County Medical Center and is recovering.
