Woman arrested on drug, weapons charges in Utica

UTICA, NY — A 43-year-old woman faces multiple charges following a search warrant execution at a Jay Street apartment on June 22, 2026.

Lasonja Pulluaim, of Utica, was arrested after investigators with the Special Investigations Unit, assisted by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and Utica Police Patrol Division, executed a search warrant at 922 Jay St. apartment 1F.

The search warrant was related to an ongoing investigation into the sale and distribution of narcotics, according to the Utica Police Department.

During the search, investigators seized over 2 pounds of cocaine, three loaded handguns, one loaded AR-15 style assault rifle, packaging materials and scales.

Pulluaim was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, four counts of criminal possession of a firearm, four counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, four counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.
