BOSTON, MA — A 19-year-old man was shot and killed in Dorchester on Monday evening.
Officers assigned to District B-3 responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 115 Milton Avenue at approximately 7:38 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers located Jalen J. Tavares, of Lakeville, at 6 Selden Street, in the rear of 115 Milton Avenue, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Boston EMS responded and pronounced him deceased at the scene.
The Boston Police Department Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
